They just want to keep nice and cosy. Shake them, drag them and they will snuggle up together again. Very cosy.
Loosely based on a Java Applet called ‘Graph Layout’, published in August 1999 by Sun Microsystems, Cosy Orbs manages a small number of nodes, the Orbs, and the vertices between them.
The program tries to minimise the stress across all the vertices, keeping them as close as possible to their optimal values. So if you disturb the nodes, they shuffle about until the graph reaches equilibrium again.
Science aside, its a wonderful sight to watch the Orbs shuffle around, trying to get cosy again. A great stress reliever, just shake the orbs and watch them gently cuddle back together. Wonderful.
